Coda – An Irish A Capella Group
Have you ever had a moment in your life that you don’t want to end….you are in the middle of it and you know it has to end but you are trying to appreciate every moment of it? That is the moment I had when we listened to the group Coda at The Grainne Uaille in Newport. Coda is an A Capella group of seven singers from Mayo, Ireland, formed in 2010 and are all members of Mayo-based choir, Cór Mhaigh Eo. The Coda singers include, Alan Drumm, Conall Ó Domhnaill, Leonard Kelly, Steve Bryant, Mike Cannon, Declan Askin & Brian Lennon.
They made me laugh, cry and tear up as I thought of my Irish ancestors before me and the friends I have made along the way in Ireland. They have performed all over Ireland, the world and even gave a special performance to Prince Albert of Monaco. If you are interested in learning more about Coda, check them out on their youtube page (click HERE) or like them on Facebook.
