Official After Party for ‘An Evening With The Chicago Bulls’ Honoring Scottie and Larsa Pippen at Studio Paris
January 8, 2013
Lady Gaga, for once, was not the center of attention. Not that on this night she sought to be. Swathed in a metallic-gold dress, her hair pulled back, she appeared at the club on what looked like a random night out.
But this was former Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen and his wife Larsa’s moment. Earlier in the evening the Chicago Bulls honored the couple at the team’s 24th annual charity gala, entitled “An Evening with the Chicago Bulls.” Comic Gary Owen (from the movie Think Like a Man) who had performed at the gala also crashed the after party. Proceeds from the event benefited the youth-based Chicago Bulls Charities and Bright Pink, one of breast-cancer survivor Giuliana Rancic’s favorite organizations.
Gaga slipped into a pair of booths in the club’s northeast corner around 9:15 p.m., before the Pippens arrived and festivities formally kick-started. Perhaps because she appeared while the club was still empty or later when the crowd swelled and revelers were distracted by Benny the Bull dancing on the tables that she managed to chill in relative solitude with two men in business suits sitting on either side of her. Her “private” party may have lasted longer, but had she stayed the full hour escaping unnoticed from the burgeoning crowd closing in around her would have been difficult.
Soon-to-be realty-TV stars, the Pippens remained very assessable throughout their two-hour stay. Scottie, in between a bit of dancing and sipping on vodka and cranberry juice, patiently posed for pictures with every fan that approached him.
